The celebration of a World Meningitis Day aims to highlight the significance of efficient prevention, early diagnosis, effective treatment, and adequate support for those patient’s victims of this infection which can have very handicapping consequences and sequelae.

Led by the Meningitis Research Foundation (MRF), member itself of the Confederation of Meningitis Organisations (COMO), every year a specific aspect of the disease is raised and shared as the theme of the awareness day.

For this year, the selected theme is “Defeat Meningitis”. We should all act to make it a reality.
