Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome you to the upcoming Congress of the Scandinavian Society for Surgery of the Hand (SSSH) and Scandinavian Hand Therapists, taking place 19–22 August 2026 in Oslo.
We have worked diligently to create an engaging and invigorating program that will enrich the knowledge and skills of both hand surgeons and hand therapists. The congress is not only about science and clinical excellence – it is also about people. Collaboration lies at the heart of our professions, and the value of cooperation cannot be overstated.
The scientific program will feature a dynamic mix of lectures, seminars, free presentations, poster sessions and social events. We are particularly committed to supporting young researchers, offering them a platform to present their work and to engage with experienced colleagues.
The SSSH has invited the Dutch Society for Hand Surgery and the Belgian Hand Group together with the Dutch and Belgian Hand Therapists as guest societies, which will greatly enrich the meeting. The program will include parallel sessions tailored to both surgeons and therapists, as well as joint sessions underlining the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation.
With the theme of the meeting centered around arthroplasties, reconstruction and innovation, we will explore a broad spectrum of surgery and therapy, ensuring that participants leave with new insights and practical knowledge for their daily work.
We are confident that this congress will be a memorable experience, strengthened by your active participation and contributions. We look forward to welcoming you to Oslo in August 2026 – to learn, to collaborate and to further strengthen the bonds between our societies.
Warm regards,
Ole Reigstad
