Objectives

1. Interpret spiritual, legal and medical issues facing patients at end of life.
2. Provide optimal end-of-life care including symptom management, psychosocial support and state of the art pain management.
3. Demonstrate effective communication techniques with patients in the advanced stages of cancer or debilitating disease and provide quality end of life care.
4. Identify non-cancer conditions needing palliative care.
