Upper lip lifting is a very popular procedure, but there are no objective guidelines on how much skin has to be removed to obtain an optimal result. We have measured and compared the philtral height in different groups of young and old male and female Lebanese subjects. Our results may serve as a morphometric guide to the upper lip lifting procedure.
