Heart or cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a large group of conditions, such as blood vessels disease, coronary artery disease, heart rhythm problems, and congenital defects that affect the heart and may lead to death. Worldwide, 17.9 million people die from CVDs each year, representing 31% of all deaths in the world.
